Elpedison with Platinum distinction, based on the tool “ESG Transparency Index” by Forbes and EY

Elpedison received a very significant distinction, as it was ranked among the top 13 companies in Greece, in the Platinum level of the ESG Transparency Index list, presented by Forbes magazine in collaboration with EY, which reflects the level of transparency and publicity on ESG issues of the 100 largest Greek companies in terms of turnover. Through this index, companies that stand out for their commitment to promoting transparency and sustainability are highlighted.

This quantitative survey was conducted by EY and the companies were ranked according to specific criteria, 55 in total, covering all 3 pillars E-S-G, Environment, Social and Governance, taking into account leading international and national non-financial reporting standards.

The Sustainability Reports and Annual Financial Reports were used to derive the data, with a reference year of 2022. The assessment was based exclusively on the published content of these Reports.

Of the 100 companies on the list, 13 were rated in the Platinum level, including Helleniq Energy, PPC, National Bank of Greece, Ellaktor, Motor Oil, OTE, 19 in the Diamond level, 7 in the Gold level, 2 in the Silver level, 6 in the Bronze level, while 53 companies were in the last level “Commencing the ESG journey”.
